Vladislav's Bridge

Vladislav's Bridge was built in the XVII century in Veliko Tarnovo. The bridge has stone stoves and a wood-beam construction on top. Its name derives from its proximity to the Metropolitan Cathedral of Turnovo. The Vladislav Bridge was the only one in Asenova Mahala and the road to Arbanassi passed along it. The bridge is one of the city's attractions because it offers spectacular views of the surrounding area. From there the Holy Cross is tossed into the Yantra River on Epiphany day (6th of January).
